VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Are you looking for a missions project where you can volunteer your services but don’t have the money or time to fly to South America, Europe, or Africa? Then consider your own backyard --- God is doing great things right here in North America and there are many opportunities to serve Him in this mission field.

Short term volunteer service teams are a blessing to the church planting efforts of our CBM missionaries. Here are just a few of the ways your church group may get involved:

• Vacation Bible School
• Music and drama teams
• Evangelistic outreach teams
• Survey and tract distribution
• Building projects
• Repair and renovation projects

The duration of your short term missions project is determined by your availability and the scope of the project itself. Building or renovation teams combined with an evangelistic, music or youth emphasis allows for your group to serve the mission church in many ways. Often the teams will assist with the construction during the week and have special meetings on the weekend.

The same opportunities are available for individuals or families to assist on a home missions field. Your desires and ministry gifts can be used in the mission church. Your presence and ministry would be a blessing the church and the missionary. A music ministry is always welcomed in a new church ministry. Often the new church has very little variety in their music program.

VOLUNTEER QUALIFICATIONS:

• You must be a member of a fundamental Baptist Church
• You must have a recommendation from your church for this ministry
• You must raise your own support or provide for your needs during the project
• You must have a servant's heart

Travel trailers are welcomed on the building sites and campgrounds are available near most of our CBM church planting and building ministry sites.

WHERE ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE?

The fields of North America are ripe unto harvest and the Lord has faithfully sent out laborers to work the fields. CBM missionary Church Planters are scattered across the landscape of North America, serving in every major geographical region in the US, as well as in Canada and Puerto Rico.

The CBM Building Teams are currently assisting in the following locations:

1. Commonwealth Community Baptist Church, Bronx NY (construction phase)
2. Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, Port St. Lucie FL (pre-construction)

Individuals or groups are encouraged to volunteer a few days, weeks, or months on the building projects.
