TeamCBM: Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to full-time missionary pastors or full-time missionary builders, God uses a variety of other individuals as He brings local churches into existence.

Volunteers serving with TeamCBM contribute to the work of church planting through one of three avenues outlined below. As you read the description of these ministries, perhaps you will sense that God has equipped and prepared you to be a Team CBM volunteer.

Interim or Pulpit Supply Ministry

If you are a retired or semi-retired pastor and would like to use your spiritual gifts in preaching and teaching, our Foster Pastor program allows you to serve in a short-term ministry allowing our missionaries opportunity to report to supporting churches, or just a period of respite.

Lay Leadership Ministry short term or long term

Many times, our church planters are in need of sound lay people who are willing to come along side them and serve as spiritual leaders in a new church plant (teachers, counselors, musicians, evangelism, and discipleship). In this ministry you are responsible for your own living arrangements and may be involved either indefinitely or for a specific period of time.

Volunteer Builders, short term or long term

Whether you are an individual or among a church-sponsored group, there are opportunities for you to participate in the construction of ministry facilities for new and growing churches. Both skilled and unskilled workers find fulfillment in lightening the load of missionaries and mission churches during the construction process.

Travel trailers are welcomed on the building sites and campgrounds are available near most of our CBM church planting and building ministry sites.

God is doing great things in North America and there are many opportunities to serve Him right in your own backyard!
